Conservative party members in Edmonton-Sherwood Park accuse Tim Uppal of manipulating the nomination process, albeit in totally legal ways, to effectively steal the Conservative nomination in Edmonton-Sherwood Park. For all the stories on Uppal-Gate up until now,
click here. That theory just got more plausible. Evidently, Uppal has
a history of getting around his legal obligations.I don't know. Maybe it's a function of being a "successful businessman" that you get sued a lot. But Uppal sure seems to attract lawsuits. He says it's sign that he will fight for the people of Edmonton-Sherwood Park. You'd think, though, that if he really thought he didn't owe these people any money, that he wouldn't have settled with them out of court so frequently. It sounds to me like he just doesn't like playing by rules until someone with the power to force him to do it steps in. Which makes it easier to believe that he willfully manipulated the rules in the nomination race to win what will inevitably amount to a seat in the House of Commons.
