National Executive Gets It Right

At least one group seems to be talking about this whole mess in terms that are consistent with the constitution of the party.  The National Executive.  As required, they are going to consult with caucus (and as not required but a nice touch, virtually everyone else), and appoint an "interim" leader.  The existing leadership process will continue as per normal. That is, until Bob Rae decides that he's being asked to pick between withdrawing for the good of the party, or running a leadership campaign against the leader of the party while that leader is either in a federal election, or in the Prime Minister's chair. That's not fair to Bob, but that's what he ended up with. The word "unseemly" comes to mind.
