The debates didn't hold a lot of interest for me, except in one regard. Elizabeth May has proved that she deserved to be there. Disagree with her if you like, but you can't deny that she brought a different perspective to that table, and not just by virtue of being the only person without a Y chromosome. It was patently unfair that she be excluded, and I hope our political leaders and media bosses are intelligent enough to only need to be told once that Canadians will not stand for things that are patently unfair. And she took the opportunity to discredit the idea that the Greens are a one-issue party by responding in an unexpected way to one question. What would be the first thing she would deal with as Prime Minister of Canada?Electoral Reform.Damn straight. Now only if we could alert Canadians to the fact that our electoral system is patently unfair.
