In a culimination of a long series of posts here on Gauntlet.ca, we can now make it official.The Edmonton Journal reports that the Alberta Green party has been de-registered and will not contest the next provincial election in Alberta. Steps have been taken to start the process of re-establishing it at some point in the future.Maybe it's best for the Green Party that it be enabled to start from scratch with a clean slate. I can't help but think that if leader Joe Anglin and his associates had been helping to resolve past errors rather than prosecuting them, the outcome might have been more positive for all involved. Including Albertans, who have now had their choices in the next election reduced.
